Habitat for Humanity Newark (HFHN)
is an ecumenical Christian ministry dedicated to building simple, decent homes
for low income families in Essex County New Jersey. We build homes with
hardworking partner families who supply over 400 hours of sweat equity. HFHN
finances the home purchase with no interest mortgages. We are proud that 69
families have benefited from homes built with generous donations and by
thousands of volunteers.

Attention Volunteers
To serve you
better we have installed a new volunteer registration. It is
quick and easy and it is up and working right now. All you
have to do is
click here and you will be transported directly to the
registration site. The first time you are there you will
register and receive a username and password and answer a few
questions for our records. Once that process is complete you
will not need to do it again. You will not have to fill in
forms when you arrive at the work site.
The new site will show you what days volunteers are needed and
how many are needed. It will also give you easy access to
directions, to what you need to bring with you, and everything
you need to know before you come to work. You can see the
safety video so you will be fully prepared. Please begin using
this new system today!
To volunteer please

To register a group for a home build day please

withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to
act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it
tomorrow" - when you now have it with you. -Proverbs 3:27-28
